Wedding Buffet Catering

Traditionally wedding catering is of the formal sit-down sort, but this doesn’t need to be the case, and increasingly couples are opting for the exciting alternative of a wedding buffet. This has many advantages. First, of course, wedding buffet food will look spectacular. Instead of plated food we can create huge decorated pies, plump terrines, great bowls of colourful salads, whole baked fish on beds of fresh green herbs, cheese boards overflowing with every variety of hard or creamy cheese, with luscious bunches of purple grapes. It goes without saying that we will ensure all of this tastes every bit as good as it looks,

Another advantage of wedding buffet food is the sheer range of different delicious treats you will be able to offer your guests. Everyone can choose just what they put onto their plate, a little of this, a slice of that and a couple of spoonsful of something else, then they can come back for more of what they fancy. All is relaxed and informal and your guests can decide just how much (or, in rare cases, how little), they want to eat.

Wedding Buffet Food

Wedding buffet food also, because it is so informal, encourages your guests to chat as they wait their turn at the mushroom wellington or the rabbit and leek pie. People are able to move around the room, perhaps meet others they wouldn’t encounter if they had their food delivered to them in the traditional way.

And choosing wedding buffet food is often more affordable, which for many couples is an important consideration. Creating, plating up and serving individual meals tends to be more expensive, and more staff are required to cater to the needs of seated guests, so we at Elizabeth Caton Food and Wine , often suggest wedding buffet catering as a slightly more price friendly option. This should not, however, suggest that it is a second rate choice...we will work with you to make sure that your buffet is completely delicious, individual and beautifully presented, so that your own ideas of your dream wedding come to life on the buffet table

Locally Sourced Organic Buffet Catering

Elizabeth, Charlotte and their highly professional team are very conscious of how their ingredients are sourced: organic, local and free range, wherever possible. In the summer we can dig or pick much of what we cook from our own kitchen garden, things don’t get much more local than that. You can even visit us for a tasting, and at the same time take a tour of  our vegetable plot and orchard.

So if the idea of a wedding buffet appeals to you or if you would just like to know more about what is involved, then please do contact us. We would love to hear from you.

What People Say About Us

Shaun and I wanted to thank you for all your help, delicious food, fabulous service and overall fabulousness. You made both feel extremely special on our best ever day.
Thank you again to everyone on your team.

Shaun and Remy, October 2018

We just wanted to send you a quick note (inbetween wedding 1 and 2 !) just to say that the food was absolutely excellent yesterday. Everyone commented on how nice it was. Bringing round seconds of beef was a winner and the desserts were truly delicious.

You have both been so lovely and helpful and I know that Phill at the Angel House was also really impressed with your professionalism.

The service was also really good and the staff you employed were all really nice.

Amanda and Kevin, Angel House

We wanted to say a massive thank you for all that you have done for us. You have truly been amazing and we can’t thank you enough for providing such a beautiful wedding buffet and making it all gluten and dairy free. It really meant a lot to us and our guests that so much effort was made and we have had the most glowing feedback from the guests about the quality of the food you made. We would also like to thank you staff, who were fantastic. We truly had an amazing wedding day and couldn’t have wished it to be any different.

Alexandria and Iain

THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our weddings so incredible. Your help, support and reassurance was invaluable in the run up to the day, and the food you created for the wedding itself was truly scrumptious. Everyone has commented on it, including my best friend who also happens to be the editor of Guardian Cook so knows her stuff. Thank you all, once again and I wish you huge success with the future of your business, you really deserve it.

Nicole and Lewis

Firstly, a massive thanks to you, Charlie and your amazing team for your exceptional catering, service and organisation for our silver wedding party. Everything went brilliantly and many people said it was the best party they had ever been to which is quite a compliment. We loved every second though I'm not sure my feet will ever recover! I'm so glad the staff had a good experience too, we are very proud of our friends who are all super people.

A million thanks for everything and very best wishes.
