Choosing the perfect wedding breakfast


This is the first meal that you, as a newly married couple, will take with your friends and family, and you will want it to be very special. But sometimes, with a dozen catering companies offering a dozen different wedding breakfast ideas, it is difficult to know where to start. Part of our aim here at Elizabeth Caton Food and Wine is to take the stress out of all the choices you are bound to be offered, We will be beside you from the very start, listening to your vision of what your perfect wedding breakfast should be and drawing on our long experience to suggest and advise about menu, service, wine. 

But before you make a choice of caterer for your wedding breakfast, you will want to be sure that the food we prepare is both really delicious and beautifully presented. Come to see us in our kitchen near Lewes and try some of the dishes you are thinking of choosing for your wedding. You might like to start with canapés: our seared tuna with wasabi and pickled ginger croustades, for example, are popular because they are beautiful and absolutely delicious, but we have many others. Then your first course might be game terrine with plum chutney, followed by sea bass with a tarragon and Pernod veloute. The choice of puddings is more or less infinite. We can even make your wedding cake to our own or to your design. There probably isn’t a single dietary requirement that we haven’t come across in our career, and we are more than happy to cook vegetarian meals or special dishes for any of your guests that have allergies.

We are always ready to answer questions or to find ways to interpret what you are looking for in your perfect wedding breakfast. And when the great day actually arrives, while we can’t guarantee there will be no nerves, one thing you won’t have to worry about is the wedding breakfast. Our expertise and the professionalism and friendliness of our serving staff will ensure that all is as wonderful as you could possibly wish.
