We are proud of the barbecues we offers for parties, weddings and other events across Sussex. We bring authentic 6 ft barbecues with us when we come to cook for you because we believe that if the food hasn’t been cooked over charcoal or wood, it’s not a real barbecue. There’s something that appeals to people about the smell and sight of a smoking barbecue set up in the garden whilst they’re enjoying a glass of champage and a few canapés before the main event.
 
Barbecue catering is becoming an increasingly popular way of feeding friends at all types of events. Traditionally quite an informal affair, barbecues are well suited to relaxed garden parties celebrating birthdays and bank holidays, but they also work very well at weddings and other more grand events. The style of service can be adapted to what suits you and your party best. A buffet table looks quite magnificent loaded with plates of temptingly charred burgers (which we make ourselves using prime beef mince from our local butcher), local Harvey’s sausages, carved joints of beef and legs of lamb, fabulous vegetarian options, bowls of colourful salads and baskets of beautiful loaves. If you’d prefer that your guests didn’t have to queue, we can serve these beautiful platters to the guests’ tables instead. The food becomes the centre piece of the table as well as the conversations.
 
Cooking from scratch with the very best produce available is something we live by, and this mantra seems especially important when barbecuing, when meat and fish is so central to the menu. Welfare, flavour, provinence and sustainability are all things that we take very seriously, and we keep all of these things in mind when sourcing our ingredients. We work with you to create a menu that can include not just sausages and burgers, but whole joints of marinated meat, yoghurt and garlic coated chicken kebabs, lemony seafood and fish skewers as well as interesting vegetarian options. The side dishes are never an after thought. We grow a lot of vegetables in our kitchen garden, and we love coming up with delicious salads to use them in; roasted beetroot with middle eastern spiced dressing, squash roasted with harissa and soft green herbs, potato and quails eggs with homemade tarragon and spring onion mayonnaise, grated carrots with parsley, lemon and nigella seeds and so many more.
 
We truly believe that a barbecue, done right, can be just as splendid as any more formal three course meal.
